Real Club de Golf de Las Palmas golf enjoys the distinction of being the oldest golf club in Spain. It was inaugurated on 17th December 1891 on a site known as 'Lomo del Polvo' In 1956 Real Club de Golf de Las Palmas was transferred to the plains of Bandama, situated close to an extinct volcano with a diameter of 800m and a depth of 200 m.
Real Club de Golf de Las Palmas has wonderful views of spectacular, deep ravines. Designed by Mackenzie Ross, it is a 6506 Yards Par 71, 18-hole course, with 2 putting greens, one of which is floodlit, a practice tee, pitching green, instructors, pro-shop, club hire service, a restaurant and an excellent wine cellar. Major International players consider the course exceptional and throughout its long history has been the site of many a tournament.
